Description Self-motivated, organized team player with ability to work priorities in a fast-paced environment Ability to participate in pursuit effort such as procurement strategy, proposals, budgets, bids, etc. Responsible for developing accurate and complete quantity surveys and pricing Perform comprehensive “bid day" analysis and scoping of specific assigned trades Coordinate with operations staff to ensure that General Conditions and General Requirements items are properly addressed in the estimate Prepare bid forms and proposal packages Handle subcontractor and/or supplier solicitations and negotiations Present drafts of bids and/or proposals to senior management Prepare instructions to bidders, bid forms and other bid solicitation information Review and/or manage the review and scoping of specialty contractor bids Assist in oversight of the historical cost database and estimating software Coordinate pass-off meetings between estimating and project management Participate in communication with clients during final negotiation Prepare scope requisitions for assigned trades as required; coordinate with project team to eliminate scope gaps and overlaps Minimum Requirements 2-5 years of estimating experience working for a general contractor Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management required Experience estimating projects ranging from 250K to 5 million Working knowledge of estimating technology and tools such as OST, QB, ProEst Experience with Job Order Contracting (JOC) using Gordian and 4Clicks Applicant must be familiar with both conceptual and self-perform estimating Design-Build experience strongly preferred
